That question comes up a lot for procurement officers, school administrators and finance teams in Singapore. A GeBIZ-registered event company in Singapore is a supplier that has signed up as a Trading Partner on gebiz.gov.sg, the government’s official e-procurement portal. We are registered on GeBIZ under Vendors@Gov, and we are also listed on SAP Ariba. What Does a GeBIZ Registered Event Company in Singapore Actually Do?
GeBIZ stands for Government Electronic Business. It is run by the Singapore government as the official portal where agencies post procurement opportunities and suppliers respond to them. Individuals log in with Singpass. Companies log in with Corppass, which requires a Unique Entity Number issued by the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, or ACRA.
Our own UEN, 202214708H, is the number that sits behind both our GeBIZ and SAP Ariba registrations. Without it, neither registration would exist.
Once a company is signed up, it shows up in GeBIZ’s own Supplier Directory. Agencies can search that directory, review a company’s profile, and reach out directly. A supplier can also watch the portal for open opportunities and respond with its own quotation, rather than waiting to be found.
Here is the part worth saying plainly. Being on GeBIZ does not guarantee a contract on its own. What it does is put us in front of the agencies searching for a verified, registered supplier, and give them the confidence to shortlist us alongside anyone else they are considering.
What About SAP Ariba? Is That the Same Thing?
No, and this trips people up. SAP Ariba, now folded into what SAP calls its Business Network, is a separate, privately run platform. It is not connected to the Singapore government. According to SAP and IBM’s own descriptions of the platform, it connects millions of buyers and suppliers worldwide; some sources put the figure above five million, for digital procurement and supplier management. Some Singapore statutory boards, larger corporates and multinational companies use it to manage their vendors, alongside or instead of GeBIZ.
Being listed on both platforms simply means we can be found and verified through two different systems rather than just one. For a government agency, that route is GeBIZ. For a large company or statutory board running procurement through SAP, that route is Ariba. A single event vendor can sit on both without it meaning anything unusual.

What Kind of Events Do Government Agencies and Schools Usually Book?
Based on what we handle day to day, government and institutional clients tend to book from the same list as our corporate clients. That list includes product launches, team bonding sessions, store openings, roadshows, charity events, RC events, and the yearly Dinner & Dance or family day. A school carnival and a ministry’s family day look different on paper, but the planning steps are the same. Someone still needs to confirm the date, the expected headcount, the equipment or food required, and who is running each station on the day.
What Happens After You Submit a Quotation Request?
Once you reach out through WhatsApp or email, one of our event planners follows up directly rather than routing you through a general inbox. The next step is a short consultation covering your event date, budget range, expected headcount, and any specific requirements tied to your organisation’s procurement rules.
From there, we put together a written proposal setting out the plan for your event. For government and school clients, this is the document you would typically attach to your own internal approval process before confirming payment.
This step matters more for institutional bookings than private ones, because most agencies and schools need a paper trail before money moves. Having a clear, written proposal in hand from the start makes the internal approval faster on your end.
How Far Ahead Should You Book?
Lead time matters here, too. We ask for three to four weeks’ notice for smaller bookings, but a large-scale event needs twelve to sixteen weeks, more than three times as long. That gap exists because bigger events involve more moving parts: more stations, more manpower, and more coordination with the venue and any other vendors already booked.
Does This Only Apply to Large Government Contracts?
No. A good number of our bookings are smaller than people expect: a single school carnival stall, one departmental family day, a modest festive celebration for a community group. Being GeBIZ and SAP Ariba registered does not change our minimum booking size.

We also run a price match policy. If you have a lower, valid quote for the same scope of work from another vendor, we will match it and take a further 5% off, subject to our terms. That applies whether the client paying the invoice is a ministry, a school, or a private company.
What Should You Check Before Confirming a Vendor?
A few checks worth running before you sign off, based on what buyers usually ask us:
- Is the UEN on the quotation the same one shown on GeBIZ or SAP Ariba? A mismatch is worth a phone call before you approve anything.
- Does the vendor state halal certification if food is involved? We do, for all our live food stations, and we say so on our own service pages rather than leaving it to be assumed.
- What is the actual lead time for your specific event size, not the general answer given to every enquiry?
- What payment methods does the vendor accept for your type of organisation, and do they match what your finance team needs?
If you are weighing us against another vendor, registration alone will not tell you who does a better job on the day. Still, it does confirm the company is real, reachable, and accountable through an official channel. From there, the details worth asking about are the ones that show up on the day itself: how the setup is handled, how the team responds to a change of plan, and what is included in the quote.
